K&S Millwrights was invited to participate in a Dealer Sales Conference trip to Costa Rica this past January. While there, they participated in a mission project called 4 the Children that was organized by Sioux Steel, a supplier of our farm and commercial grain bins, unloading equipment, and fans.
4 the Children
4 the Children is the mission focused work of the trip organized by Sioux Steel and extended to their dealers. The biannual trip is organized by Sioux Steel through Score International, a short term mission organization that lists “engage people in mission work” among its five strategic objectives. Mission Work at Area Schools
While on the trip, Brad and Susan Krumrey and their two children, along with Jon Pettit and his wife and two children, spent time working on painting projects at two local schools.
Susan shares a bit about their experience in Costa Rica. “We were very excited to hear about another mission day. Juli at Sioux Steel does an awesome job in organizing this for us and we couldn’t thank the Sioux Steel Family enough for the great experience. All the participating dealers bring along needed supplies to get the jobs done; either working or personal hygiene items for the kids. This year part of us worked at a couple different schools and others stayed at the resort to play and have lunch with children from a couple orphanages for the day. This was a great vacation and volunteering our time for others made it all the better.”
“The mission trip was a good experience especially for the kids to see others less fortunate than themselves. It felt rewarding to help others out,” adds Jon Pettit, Inside Sales and Inventory Manager for K & S Millwrights.
